The ski resorts for children in South Tyrol
Several ski resorts are located very close to our apartments. All are popular resorts for children in South Tyrol: the ski resort Jochtal in Vals with lovely children snow park and Gitschberg in Meransen, the Plose above Brixen and only 15 km from Bruneck the famous Kronplatz/Plan de Corones, South Tyrol's ski carousel no. 1. Also in Terenten there is a small lift for children.
Ski resort Kronplatz/Plan de Corones
The Kronplatz/Plan de Corones, the ski resort no. 1 in South Tyrol, is situated in Reischach near Bruneck in the Dolomites and offers not only many ski slopes, but also snow fun for children.
In Reischach, your kids can play at the little zoo or in the near riding stable, and in the ski resort Kronplatz there are many possibilities to sled and practice cross-country skiing for the young and the young at heart!
The Kronplatz can be reached by train, which runs every 30 minutes from Vintl to Percha with a direct connection to the ski area. At the railway station in Vintl there is a free car park.
After a skiing day, relax in the indoor swimming pools of Cron4 in Reischach!
Ski resort Gitschberg-Jochtal
Also the ski resorts in Meransen and Vals are very child-friendly: have fun during your ski holiday for families in the children's snow park or during a horse-sleigh ride, even at night undertaking a torch hike or sledding and skiing under floodlights!
Since a few years there is a new connection between Gitschberg and Jochtal, for a total 44 km of slopes!
During Christmas time, the Carnival week and every weekend you can take the free ski bus directly from our residence to the ski resort Gitschberg Jochtal.
Ski resort Plose
In the ski resort Plose offers not only a clearly laid out ski resort, but also breath-taking 360° panoramic views of the impressive peaks of the surrounding area. You will find countless kilometres of slopes, from the practice slope for beginners to the longest descent in South Tyrol. But even non-skiers will get their money's worth: on the 10.5 km long toboggan run RudiRun or on one of the many snowshoe and hiking trails through the snowy landscape.
After an eventful day you can enjoy the warmth of the water in the Acquarena in Brixen.
Winter paradise Rodenecker Alm
The Rodenecker Alm is a true winter paradise for children and families. On the very sunny and wide tableland near Brixen you can snowshoe, sled and practice cross-country ski in the middle of a snow-white winter wonderland.
Here you can also undertake many winter walks through the snow-covered landscape.
Ski pass prices Isarco valley 2015/2016
Guests of the Residence Obermoarhof get special ski pass prices for ski resorts in the Isarco valley. With the ski pass Isarco valley you can ski on all slopes of the nearby ski resorts Plose and Gitschberg-Jochtal.

Children under 8 years get a ski pass for free, if an adult family member per child buys a ski pass for the same period.
